Reading Nook

Photobucket

Also sharing with "Wow us Wednesdays!"

Ah, another "Newbie Party", thanks Debbie! Alittle time in the "Nook" , all by myself, just me , a good book and a cup of coffee.....................The best Valentines Day present ever!

Im so excited, Penny, my seamstress , just finished sewing the canopy for my reading nook last week. I just got it hung. It also was made from the same lace that was used for the burlap pillow ruffle. The top portion is an old lamp shade that i found and tore off the rotton and tattered silk, then sprayed the "frame" white.  This is the best spot in the house to curl up with a book! I hope u all enjoy it as much as i do. I had so much fun putting it together.

Looks very romantic to snuggle under the canopy and read, I so love canopies myself. I also love the fabric shown on the ottoman? Is it special order from your seamstress? Enjoy your reading.

Hi Lynn, thanks for ur sweet comment. The fabric is actually some curtain panels that i found on craigslist. There were 4 of them, and yea, my seamstress made the ottoman cover and a chair cover that goes with it, where there wasnt enuff material from the panels she filled in with a pink chenille spread that i had. I'll have to post some pics soon....
