French Dresser ....

While the cat's away...the mouse will ...Paint? LOL Well, thats exactly what i did. Mr. Romantic, and little Romantic were in Orlando playin ball all weekend, so i set my sights on gettin something done! I found this old french dresser in a local antique store. One of those "no painting furniture allowed" shops...if the lady had know what i was gonna do she never woulda let me have it, ha ha...

Inspired by an old quilt that i have, i was looking for a color that went with all my fav duvets and quilts, i wanted a color that really did the piece justice...

I really wanted a color that spoke to my heart...

One that went with all my shabby creations.....and reminded me of a cool place , where any guest would feel comfortable.....

I also wanted it to go with this old mirror , which use to be a medicine cabinet door...I gave it a fresh coat of crisp white paint...

Im oh so happy with the way it turned out....Nuff said, on to the next project of laying some pretty paper in the drawers, ile share this when i get it done..........

Guest room Chandy

It's been a hard days night, and i been workin like a dog...ha, ha..............any way stick a fork in me, at least until tomorrow that is..Here's the chandelier as promised. I had these flowers just layin around so i thought ide play with them on the chandy...

 Im so happy with the way it turned out...My little guest room is coming right along...now if i can just finish painting the door, LOL..Thanks for stopping and sharing in this simple little project with me....Bonnie

Decisions, Decisions

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Mother's Day...I know i have, Mr. Romantic made breakfast, did the dishes, and is working on the laundry, so i dont have alot of time here, ile have to check on him in a bit just to make sure a red sock doesnt end up in the whites, LOL...
Ive sure missed everyone, i know ive been hangin out in FB land and not posting enuff. So i think ile share what ive been up to today..The very shabby guest room, which u can see in my sidebar, has undergone a few changes today..Yea, ive been playin in there today, LOL...However i need ur help!  Can u spot the changes?

Yep, besides a few bedding changes, this lamp was the biggest change. When i put it here i instantly loved it! To think this adorable little lamp almost made the yard sale table....LOL..

Anyway, heres where i need ur help, i have and old frame which i painted pink, it looks beautiful in this room,  so i took a notion to hang it above the lamp, maybe placing a small mirror underneath. I quickly went to my art stash(everyone has one? right?) and this is what i narrowed it down to, but only one can make the cut...Please let me know which one u favor.....

Beach House

Hi, how is everyone?  Ive recently had the opportunity to photograph my best friend Bonnie's beach house, what fun this was. Come take a tour with me, bear with me , lots of pics, LOL.. Bonnie enjoys a laid back, kick ur feet up , beach house style of decor, and since she's only 4 blocks from the ocean, it suits her perfectly.. Reminiscent of sea and sand, fresh in the door ur greeted by soft tans and aqua colors in the LR/DR combo. A great place to put up ur feet after a long day at the beach.

Bright turquiose sets a cheerful place to relax and watch  TV...

Wouldnt u rest well here in this beautiful bedroom and bath....

Bonnie has done all of her own styling, i only took the photos. She's an awesome designer with so many wonderful ideas. Her's is one of the most welcoming homes ive ever had the pleasure of visiting.
