Guest room Chandy

It's been a hard days night, and i been workin like a dog...ha, ha..............any way stick a fork in me, at least until tomorrow that is..Here's the chandelier as promised. I had these flowers just layin around so i thought ide play with them on the chandy...

Im so happy with the way it turned out...My little guest room is coming right along...now if i can just finish painting the door, LOL..Thanks for stopping and sharing in this simple little project with me....Bonnie

Problem solved.......

As u all know, im busy re-doing the dining room. Ive finished the table and chairs, bought the benches , however the slipcovers for them arent quite finished. Penny came by today to do some measuring , and dropped off my new window treatment. U can see my dilema with the window here and get a glimpse of the table here. Im really happy with the way its all coming together so far. Penny really rocked this ballon shade though......

I know, thats probably overkill on the pics, but i was just tickled pink and giddy with the outcome........slipcovers coming soon!

dropcloth virgin

This post is simply out of pure excitement. Im soon to do my first dropcloth slipcovers........Ive picked up my "ballardlist" coventry storage benches. I love them, all except the fabric of course. Ive wanted banquet seating in the dining room for some time now, its just a really good solution for any small dining room. Most of u know my dining room to look like this.....

Please ignore the mess in the corner........

Some changes are about ready to take place though. Im just sorry i couldnt get some of these things done before the blog party.....I work outside the home, which can leave very little time for projects to get finished. Anyway just wanted to show u the benches..........

To those of u who may be wondering, we will be re-moving the mantel on the back wall and re-locating it to another space so that the bench can hug the wall as it should. So there ya have it ,our solution to better seating in a small dining space, however as murphy's law would have it,  all solutions generally create new dilemas, LOL..

Now the drapes are too long, go figure.................Here's to drop cloths, be back soon with more pics.

Almost there.....

Hi all my fellow bloggers, ive missed my computer so much this week. But its simply amazing how much i can get done when i get my but off it. Finally got it back today , and just in time for Transformation Thursday! Ive really been wanting to share my dining room with everyone, so i hope u all enjoy it. I still have some work to do though, i still need to paint the table, get all the stuff back into the china cabinet,  and hang some window treatments.......Well, yall get it, at least u can get a feel for what  direction its headed.....This past weekend while i was computerless(is that a word, lol?) i finished painting the ceiling and Richard hung the new(old) chandy. This weekend im shooting for finishing up the china cabinet. So i hope ule all join me while we all celebrate THURSDAY!                          http://www.theshabbychiccottage.net/2011/02/transformation-thursday.html
