Since posting the completed Romantic eating area, ive received a few emails asking about the other side of the room.....I purposely didnt include the china cabinet, as i hadnt put the glass back in it after painting and i still am not happy with the knobs.....So i got right on it and put the glass back in , but ile keep on the hunt for the right knobs.............just thought u may wanna see "the other side" of the room. Enjoy the pics...............Bonnie
I was in picture taking mode today....so i thought ide share a few of the newly finished dining room space. It's so much more than a dining room to us. My niece and I have come to love sharing time here. Just laying "head to head" with a book or having a long chat...Im proud of all the rooms in my home and this one is no different, its come such a long way from what it use to be, and is all that i wanted it to be now......Enjoy the photos..........Bonnie
It's come quite far....

Joining Faded Charm for "White Wednesday" and Kim at "Savvy Southern Style" for WOW...........see ya there.........Joining "House in the Roses" to show off my cottage.....Also joining for the first time my new friend Aimeee at "It's Overflowing"
In my travels i sometimes come accross a few things that i simply have to have. My dear bloggie buddy Vanna over at "Delusions of Grandeur" hosts her flea market finds, some wonderful things , i might add. Inspired by her i thought ide show u all a few things that i bought this week.........First thing being these 3 beautiful tapestries. I have a feeling that 2 of them will end up in the dining room............
The colors in this one are so striking, i think it'll be going into the patriotic guest room(another work in progress, lol).......The other 2 which are a romantic "garden scene" will be turned into pillows?....that i can move around when i get bored, each one measures about 76" by 36", big huh!
Mr. Aubusson aint got nuthin on "The Hopeless Romantic"......he he. Well enuff playin around , i gotta get back to work, I just finished painting the dining room table and im working on distressing it.......
Im very pleased with the way its coming along thus far...u can see the matching chair transformation here. Its so hot out, but gotta get back to work......so dont forget if ur working outside drink plenty of water, and dont forget its AlWAYS cooler on the tile.....LOL
This post is simply out of pure excitement. Im soon to do my first dropcloth slipcovers........Ive picked up my "ballardlist" coventry storage benches. I love them, all except the fabric of course. Ive wanted banquet seating in the dining room for some time now, its just a really good solution for any small dining room. Most of u know my dining room to look like this.....
Please ignore the mess in the corner........
Some changes are about ready to take place though. Im just sorry i couldnt get some of these things done before the blog party.....I work outside the home, which can leave very little time for projects to get finished. Anyway just wanted to show u the benches..........
To those of u who may be wondering, we will be re-moving the mantel on the back wall and re-locating it to another space so that the bench can hug the wall as it should. So there ya have it ,our solution to better seating in a small dining space, however as murphy's law would have it, all solutions generally create new dilemas, LOL..
Now the drapes are too long, go figure.................Here's to drop cloths, be back soon with more pics.
